Welcome to AP Spotlight. Every month, we’ll pick an AP Creator of the Month and interview them, and sometimes we’ll get some quick tips for other AP Creators.

For August, our AP Creator of the Month is Espi Kvlt

Espi Kvlt is a nonbinary lesbian whose gender is vampire elf and whose interests include music (especially metal), video games, and horror (written and visual). They have a B.A. in English-Writing with multiple published short stories, a column for Noob Heavy, and are a musician. They have four cats, a snake, a fiance, a partner, and many fictional wives (primarily Zenos and Griffith).

Let’s get to know Espi! 💖

How’d you get into creating adult content?
I started all the way back in 2012 when I was freshly 18. Ever since I found my dad’s Playboys as a kid, I wanted to be an adult model. I thought they were so beautiful and modeling naked looked so fun! I thought I’d never be able to model for something mainstream like Playboy, so I took the route of Suicide Girls (one I quit in favor of GodsGirls, rest in peace). From there, it was just a natural progression to doing photo sets I individually sold, then strip videos, then eventually full-fledged porn. And now, to my honestly massive surprise, I even have a Playboy page! Dreams do come true, so never tell yourself you can’t do something!

What’s your favorite content that you’ve shot?
I love doing cosplay content the most in general. It’s so fun dressing up (can you tell I was a theater kid?). But if I had to pick one single thing it’d be my Ashe (Overwatch) cosplay. I put that cosplay together within the same week she was revealed, I was so instantly obsessed. Then I shot this amazing porn with a robot dildo to represent B.O.B., her robot sidekick. There was also some fake gun masturbation. It was such a fun cosplay, super fun porn to make, and I’m the most proud of it.

If you make customs, what’s the weird request you’ve received and did you shoot it?
I have a CPR guy. He regularly asks for videos of me just pretending to perform CPR on pillows. I love it when he comes to me, it’s easy money.

What do you like about using AP Clips as a platform?
AP Clips was my very first video selling platform, since I knew the creators from GodsGirls. Before that, I sold everything via DMs. It was such a nice adjustment getting on a platform, especially one that had such a great name! The payout is higher than any other site, the UI is beautiful and nice to use, and it’s obvious how much the owners care about the models. It’s the only platform I work on that I feel like I’m actually supported and cared about by the owners and business runners.

What are five words to describe your brand?
Nerdy. Metalhead. Horror. Gamer. Cosplayer.

Has your brand evolved since you started? If so, how?
It actually hasn’t really. I knew right away what I wanted my niche to be (nerdy metalhead). My first name, Espi, is short for Espeon, the Pokemon. And my last name, Kvlt, is an underground black metal term for someone who’s really true to the scene (I’m using it ironically because people who genuinely think they’re Kvlt are cringe and I thought it was funny while also establishing my brand). I do a solid mix of being that hot goth theyf while also showcasing my love of nerdy stuff like comic books and video games and I’ve been doing that basically since I started. My niche has always just been a very genuine showcase of the things I love the most.

What’s your trick to balancing your daily life?
I’ve been doing this for so long it’s just part of my daily life, to be honest. Everyone knows what I do, if I’m out and have a good opportunity to take some nudes I do, when I shop, I wonder how I can use my purchases for porn, and it’s pretty much all ingrained in everything I do. It’s something I’m super passionate about and love so I don’t really feel the need to create a division.

What are your go-to TV shows to binge watch?
I’m much more a movie person than a TV show person, but I could watch Interview with the Vampire every day for the rest of my life, it’s perfect. Also love What We Do in the Shadows (yeah, if there’s vampires, I’ll watch).

What’s a meme you’d use to describe yourself?

Do you have any advice for creators who are just starting?

The most important thing is finding your niche. I hammer this into every new sex woker’s head. Every person has something that makes them unique, so market the crap out of it! Pretty girls are a dime a dozen but without something interesting to latch onto, no one is going to stick around long. I have had customers from the very beginning of my career because we bonded over video games or music. Not only will your interests make you stand out, but it will also ensure you’re always having fun. Intertwining something you love with your sex work ensures you’re always having fun and never feeling lost or bored.
