Welcome to AP Spotlight. Every month, we’ll pick an AP Creator of the Month and interview them, and they send us a little video intro with some quick tips for other AP Creators.
For October, our AP Creator of the Month is Camilla Creampie Let’s meet them…
How’d you get started making adult content?
About 5 years ago I met Mr Creampie, we found we had an awful lot in common…We used to be swinger’s way back when, and used to do Domination sessions together just for fun. I was doing a session on my own with a sub one day, and it occurred to me I could do this for a living! Originally the plan was to do Domme sessions and a few films, however, I rather enjoyed making films and that has taken precedence.
How long have you been making content?
We started making content almost three years ago, we have learned so much about lights, camera, action, angles…. It’s not as simple as it looks!
What inspires your content?
We like to keep our content simple, It is mostly Mr Creampie and I being us. We can’t act!! I think that is a big selling point, keeping it real.
What’s your favourite content you’ve ever made?
We have made so much content it’s hard to pick just one. I have to say I enjoy making the Camilla Experience films, where I make a girl cum so much she doesn’t remember her name!
How do you promote your brand, and what’s the most successful method(s) for you?
I promote my brand mostly through Twitter, I use a lot the guys that promote and retweet my stuff on there, they have been an enormous help, many of them have been promoting me from when I first started. I wouldn’t be where I am now if it weren’t for a lot of them helping me become more visible to my fans. I also do a hashtag of the day on Twitter, this is very popular with the fans. For some reason #TittyTuesday is the most popular 🙂
What’s your trick to balancing your daily life?
Being able to turn off for a while is essential. Getting out on my bike is a great way just to be me and forget everything. And of course Mr C is a big help, we do bounce ideas off of each other on ways to get ahead.
If you could give a new creator advice, what would it be?
I would say get yourself on Twitter promote yourself, talk to the guys on there that do retweeting, as I mentioned earlier. Engage with your fans, after all they are your bread and butter! Be nice to them take the time to talk, even if it’s just thanking them for a compliment they gave you. I find it goes a long way; it makes you more approachable. It is a lot of hard work and I do spend hours catching up with fans, but it’s worth it.
One important thing to the downside of being out there, you will get unkind playground bullies, however the best way to deal with them is just ignore them. NEVER engage with them. That just gives them fuel. They soon get bored. I have been very lucky and not had many unkind comments, but the ones I have had, again I ignore. You have to have a thick skin sometimes. It can be very tempting to bite back, don’t be tempted to do it. I have seen so many fights between performers and trolls, it doesn’t get anybody anywhere. Just ignore them.
Get yourself on more than one platform to sell your content. We like to use the analogy of tins of beans, and supermarkets.
Say Heinz beans only sold their tins in Tesco, they wouldn’t sell many. However, if they have them in most of the shops, they are going to sell a whole lot more. I am on nine different platforms, yes it’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it. If one ‘Shop’ were to collapse you have the others still earning you money. Also, with purchasers/fans they like their trusted platform of choice. Similar to you going to your favourite supermarket. Some platforms have been around for a very long time and some fans won’t shop anywhere else, while some like the most popular platforms.
Shoot with the companies like Aunt Judy’s, Mature NL, etc, the publicity goes both ways. You are advertising yourself as well as making money for them and you. The more popular you are on their sites the more your fans will come and search for you on your platforms. Work with them and help each other.
If you make customs – what’s the weirdest request and did you do it?
Hmmmmm I can’t tell you the weirdest, it’s just too dirty….. (Yes I did do it!)
One I have been asked to do was in a Church, I did ask if he thought I was MGM studios!
Sometimes I’m asked to do something a 25-year-old might be able to do, but I am 47 and not that flexible. Put your feet behind your head show me everything… Do star jumps… squat over the camera for 10 mins….
How do you film? Any special lighting equipment/camera? Feel free to share some of your tips.
Mr C and I tend to film a lot at home, I am very lucky to have a lovely house that is ideal for filming. We don’t have any fancy equipment really. Just a couple of Panasonic camcorders and some lights. You can go overboard on getting all the latest gadgets etc, but keeping it simple is best.
One gadget that I have found indispensable is a remote-control clicker for my camera phone, taking pictures is now so much easier and it was very cheap, I also have a little phone holder that sits on top of a tripod.
What do you like about using AP as a platform?
The AP platform is really great to use, being able to upload more than one film at a time and it not fail! Being able to sell photos as well as films means we all get to make more money too. They have a great support system in place too, always someone who can and does answer questions.
Has your brand evolved since you started? If so, how?
The Camilla Creampie brand has gone from strength to strength over the last couple of years, it is a business and it will continue to grow. As long as my fans are still there, I will continue to produce more content.
What are you watching on Netflix right now?
I have just finished The Umbrella academy and Lucifer, how can they leave it like that?!
Not sure what’s next…. When I get chance to sit down and watch it of course.
What’s a meme to describe yourself?
Hmmmm probably anything with big boobs
Any Tips for meeting fellow sex workers to create content with?
Again, with Twitter, have a look on there, see who you like, who you would like to film with. Ask them, if they would like to shoot. There is no harm in asking.
Most of all be honest, if you would like to shoot then say yes, if not then just say no! The amount of time wasted on people who say oh yes I would like to film then just vanish is terrible. People will not be offended by saying no, and if they are then they are probably not in the right profession. Be reliable is the most important thing of all, the amount of Grandmothers that one model can lose is an infinite number, we have heard every excuse in the book for not turning up. So being reliable in this industry will go a very very long way.
Do you get inspired by anything specific to film?
Mr Creampies mind is a never-ending sea of filth, He always comes up with something, then we just have to make it workable.
How did you come up with your stage name?
Mr Creampie came up with my stage name, he does like a Creampie and the name Camilla is thought of as somewhat posh. It’s a name that people tend not to forget either!!
