For February, our AP Creator of the Month is Selina Kyl! ✨
Selina Kyl is a 10-plus-year veteran of the adult industry — a cam girl, queer porn performer, filmmaker, and content creator. Passionate about authenticity and creative expression, she continues to challenge perceptions of the adult industry through her digital presence and work both in front of and behind the camera.

How’d you get into creating adult content?
I grew up in the era of Girls Next Door, God’s Girls, and Suicide Girls, so the idea that I could express my creativity and sexuality in some tangible way was always kind of an unspoken peripheral inevitability for me. Just like my other sublimated desires to kiss those women and explore their bodies. I was working in a salon, part-time, making minimum wage, but it really didn’t matter where I worked because any job I’d had always involved some prospect of having to accept any level of “benign”-to-sinister sexual objectification or harassment. From bosses, from customers. I just figured if any job had to involve that, then it made the most sense for me to make that my job. I could be creative and sexual, and I could document my experiences, and I thought maybe in doing so I could get to know myself better.
What’s your favorite content that you’ve shot?
I love my girl/girl content the most, and my favorite scene is probably a cinematic sextape I shot with my friend Luna. Everything about the time and environment we were shooting in and the way we looked and the chemistry of our “performances” surreptitiously folded together perfectly to create the ideal of what I wanted my filmic and pornographic aesthetic to be. And I learned that I like light BDSM!
If you make customs, what’s the weird request you’ve received and did you shoot it?
I surprisingly don’t get very many weird customer requests, which was a shame because I like weird stuff. I did a really fun custom where I boxed and slapped my stepson’s face and head by swinging my big boobs at him. Because he cummed in my bras.
What do you like about using AP Clips as a platform?
I love the higher payout percentage and the fast tech-support! Both are essential and rare among these clip sites.
What are five words to describe your brand?
Wholesome, sincere, sensual, silly, and open-minded (this counts as one word! fight me!)
Has your brand evolved since you started? If so, how?
I was so young when I started, so I know that I started as a deeply unserious person, for better or worse. In some ways I miss being that carefree and silly, but the positive aspects that hopefully come with life grinding you down into a paste is that you become a more thoughtful and empathetic person. I would hope my brand reflects that. I certainly want to create a space for people to feel safe to explore things they may not otherwise in their everyday life.
What’s your trick to balancing your daily life?
I don’t have a trick for this, I don’t know how to do it, I have a variety of mental disorders and capitalism is an unstoppable machine that runs on blood and I feed it my blood. If I have any balance anywhere, it comes from being kind to myself and accepting that I cannot always do as much as other people and that’s not a reflection of my worth. I almost always fail at this. Anyway I try to watch a lot of movies and sleep a lot.
What are your go-to TV shows to binge watch?
Gilmore Girls, Sailor Moon, Love is Blind, Girls Next Door, and the 90s Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
What’s a meme you’d use to describe yourself?

Do you have any advice for creators who are just starting?
Never worry about what other creators do, just put out the kind of stuff you want to and you’ll find your people! Take inspiration from others but find a way to make it your own instead of being a carbon copy! You’ll be more happy with your work in the long run!
